Good Reads

A few of my favorites from this week.

I love Melanie, and I LOVE this post: On Love & Quitting. I'll have more to say on this topic next week.

Are you watching? 100 Important Things to Know About Season 1 of Downton Abbey. Disclaimer: May be a little off-color in a couple of places, but the hilarity of this post more than makes up for it.

Jo-Lynne is such a great teacher, and this post is a fantastic tutorial. Pinterest for Bloggers.

50 Things to Write About When You Have Writer's Block by Centsational Girl. I'm sure I'll be referring here often.

Finally, here's an article from Christianity Today, written by Dr. Duane Litfin, former president of Wheaton College. It's really thought-provoking, and I'd love to know what YOU think about this topic. Clothing Matters: What We Wear to Church.

Have a great weekend!

  1. I am off to read some of your favorites. Thanks, Shelly.

  2. Downton Abbey is my new obsession! I can't get enough of it- watching it, talking about it, reading about it. Thank you for enabling me. :)

  3. Oh that DA summary is hilarious. My mother wants to catch up on last season having not watched before but I'm afraid this summary would just confuse her more. Very cute. Not sure what I think of Dr. Litfen's CT piece. I personally very much enjoy dressing casual for church and think it helps me focus more on worship. I also think that sometimes it can be a fashion show at some churches. If modesty and simplicity were more of an Evangelical virtue I'd agree with him.

  4. Well my goodness, thanks for the mention and link!
