Hoodwinked!

We've been duped.

Hoodwinked.

Bamboozled.

Tricked . . .

. . . into thinking that winter was indeed over. Into believing that Winter was not even going to knock on our door this year.

But alas, this morning we woke up to the bleak reminder that it IS still February, even though most of our days lately have felt like April.

So, even though Winter is not my BFF, I still love me a thick, heavy snow like we had this morning. And in honor of that, I bring you . . .

. . . my walk.

Starting in my back yard. I always think it's prettier covered in snow.

This is my favorite kind of snow (if there is such a thing). When the branches can barely stand the weight of it all.

And finally, this is one of my favorite little houses along my route. At least if we have all this snow we can pretend we're in Switzerland!

My mom is arriving from Arizona today. It just figures. Maybe she can convince Winter to just move along.

Enjoy your "snow day!"

I'm so jealous! We still haven't had more than 1/2 an inch of snow all winter. Not that we get a ton of snow here in Indy, anyway, and it was really a blessing not to have it during the Super Bowl festivities. I'm thinking maybe March will bring us a freak blizzard or something!

Oh, let's hope not, Rachel! I'm hoping this will melt by tomorrow! :)

Wow! Beautiful photography and lovely scenes but I'm sorry that winter is playing with you. Still no snow here so maybe spring is coming slowly to your neighborhood.

I think we got just an inch and lots has melted already. I walked to my hair cut today ... still pretty warm out there.

Have a great visit with your mom.

Fondly,
Glenda

Yes. Well. It was 75 degrees here last Saturday. On Sunday, the day before I was supposed to fly to Houston at oh-dark-thirty, it snowed. I am not kidding. Thankfully, I made it to Houston, then came home to more 75-degree weather. And then tonight it's supposed to be 20 degrees.

And now I have whiplash. Oy.

I LOVE snow days. our only 'snow day' this season had no snow. I was hoping for at least a couple of days filled with snow.
Around here... we get worried when it is this warm so soon... makes us wonder about how hot the summer could be... yikes.
Beautiful pictures :)
